Summary

The morning of Sunday is free for the participants to visit the city of Yerevan and its monuments.

Fabricademy and the local team of Fab Lab Armenia are suggesting to visit

The Fabricademy Bootcamp will officially begin at 15:00 at the Silk Road Hotel

At the Silk Road Hotel we will have the first two workshops with local Armenian artisans.

  • 15:00-18:00 Silk Road Hotel Workshops: Kilim Weaving and Feltmaking.

At the Silk Road Hotel, participants will learn from the masters and explore the traditional weaving techniques typical of the Armenian rugs, in a unique hands-on experience.
They will also have the opportunity to discover the local Wool and experiece the fascinating process of transforming raw wool into vibrant and textured felt, from carding and layering to wet felting and shaping. As they will immerse themselves in the tactile nature of the materials, they’ll appreciate the harmony between ancient practices and contemporary creativity.

  • 18:00-20:00 Dinner at Silk Road Hotel (not included in the Bootcamp Fee)

The workshops are followed by a Dinner at Silk Road Hotel with a live demonstration of Lavash bread Making.

We are also suggesting to the participants to book their accomodation at the Silk Road Hotel for the 26th and the 27th, where they can benefit from a 10% discount as Fabricademy Bootcamp Participants.

Participants can otherwise stay in the center of Yerevan, close to Republic Square Yerevan, where we will meet on the following Monday morning.
