- Leather Molding Lecture and Hands-on
In this workshop Participants willl experience the fusion of traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, while lerning about digital design, CNC programming, and the different stages of leather molding.
- Biofabricating Materials Lecture
The textile industry is one of the most polluting in the world, in which one the most environmentally disastrous processes is the dyeing of fibers and textiles of the clothes we wear. Chemicals are released daily in rivers and nature destroying the environment around us to satisfy the colour demands that we create as designers, industry and consumers. Very few options are being explored in this fast changing fashion, clothing and textile industry, and the list of chemical treatments is only expanding.
- Biomaterials Hands-on
During the activity, participants will be introduced to the biomaterial fabrication and together with the Fabricademy team will explore material alternatives to the current ones, different recipies, ingredients and processes while growing and crafting their personalised DIY materials.
- Focus Groups
Researching and experimenting together. Participants will ideate & develop a project in a team along with experts and participants around the topics tackled in the program and during the week. At the end of the week they will showcase their collaborative porojects.
