The Katapult network works with all stakeholders and contributors looking to elevate Armenia’s culture industry. Armenia boasts some of the most sophisticated artists and culture shapers in the world. To maximize the potential of human capital and talent, AGBU Armenia is working in partnership with Creative Armenia and with the funding of the European Union to invest in a new and critical program: Katapult Creative Accelerator Program. With the aim of vitalizing the Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) ecosystem in Armenia, Katapult empowers creative professionals with education, entrepreneurial skills and visibility, and bridges gaps in existing support services, technology, institutions and infrastructure to ensure a sustainable and thriving cultural industry.

Lusik Aguletsi House-Museum and Art Cafe

Lusik Aguletsi, born Lusik Zhorzhiki Harutyunyan in Nakhichevan in 1946, was a renowned Armenian painter, ethnographer, and Honored Cultural Worker. Recognized as the last person in Yerevan to regularly wear traditional Armenian attire, she significantly contributed to Armenian cultural heritage. Raised in Agulis until her family’s relocation to Yerevan in 1953, her experiences inspired a character in Akram Aylisli’s novel, Stone Dreams. Aguletsi studied at the Panos Terlemezyan Art College from 1963 to 1967, receiving accolades, and became a member of the Artists’ Union of Armenia in 1974. Her artistic legacy extends globally, with her paintings displayed in museums and private collections. Additionally, she actively pursued ethnography, amassing a diverse collection of cultural artifacts from her native Agulis and other regions of Western and Eastern Armenia.

Armenia’s hand-woven rug production, rooted in centuries-old tradition, seeks to achieve new heights in quality and design. Dating back to the 1870s, Armenian rugs, known as Caucasian Rugs, were highly sought after in Europe and the United States. Today, the focus is on reproducing updated versions of these antique rugs with expert craftsmanship, intricate design, and durability. The company plays a significant role by producing high-quality, naturally dyed hand-spun woolen yarns through eco-friendly and natural methods. Collaborating with farmers who prioritize natural grazing and nutritious hay for their sheep, the company ensures the best quality wool. Lentex Factory - Gyumri

Lentex LLC is the largest manufacturer of hosiery and knitwear in Armenia. The factory was founded in 2002 in the city of Gyumri. In the initial stages of the business activity, we entered the market with women’s elastic pantyhose under the trademark "VIVA", and beginning in 2007 it introduced a new line of cotton socks production under the trademark “LENTEX’. Our products are manufactured using state-of-the-art equipment and imported raw materials from leading foreign companies. In 2015, with the launch of the newest brand "DANNI" a new phase in the company’s history has begun. “DANNI” is a collection of high-quality pantyhose, men’s, women’s, children’s socks, and also knitwear for all age groups. In 2019, the foundation was laid for the production of pantyhose with new technologies under the name "OLETTI", which now enjoys great demand from the consumer. Due to the flexible marketing policy, the company responds quickly to the needs of the consumers and also makes exclusive orders based on the customer’s preferences.


Fine Arts Academy - Gyumri
