Gawa patterns¶
In Bhutan, you can find beautiful repetitive patterns in their traditional clothing. The patterns can be simple as well as elaborate and sometimes combine both. The weavers these days combine ancient motifs and patterns to create awe inspiringly beautiful textiles. Back then, weavers got inspiration for their designs from their natural surroundings and most importantly from religion. Nowadays weavers use these traditional patterns but also create their own.
To continue this tradition to live on we made a library of patterns, with how they look like and their meanings but we also have png and vector files of these patterns and want people to use these patterns in their projects with numerical machines and new technologies.
