Alex is a physicist and engineer, a passionate maker dedicated to creating new projects. He combines science, arts, and hardware with the goal of helping people while continuously learning new things in the process.
Aline Gonzalez Moreno¶
Aline is a Mexican product designer specializing in strategic design. Her research has been showcased internationally. She founded "La Hacedora," focusing on Mexican natural dyes and leading workshops across Mexico. With nine years of teaching experience, Aline integrates tradition with innovation and builds a community around color exploration.
Ana Vera¶
She is a textile designer, strategic designer, accessories designer and teacher. In research and transition towards sustainability.
Angela Barbour¶
As a Brazilian artist, based in São Paulo, Angela Barbour blend academic inquiry, artistic innovation, and sustainability. Holding a Ph.D. in Visual Arts, graduations in Biochemistry and Fabricademy, she merges scientific and artistic sensibilities.
Angélica Rodríguez¶
She is a fashion designer who seeks to merge 3D technology and innovation with textile intervention. She works at the Metropolitan Technological University as the coordinator of the Textile and Fashion Design Engineering program.
Anastasia Pistofidou¶
Anastasia is a Greek architect, specialized in digital fabrication technologies, design and education, Co-founder of Fabricademy & FabTextiles.
Annie Ferlatte¶
Annie is a strategic mediator in ecodesign and an industrial designer from Quebec, Canada. For Annie, in a Fab Lab, everything is to be discovered, experimented and shared.
Ashley Kubley¶
Professor Ashley Kubley is a textile and apparel designer with a research focus on textile technology and craft conservation. She has over 20 years work experience in both the global fashion and textile industries and in artisan and design collaborations in Yucatán.
Carolina De La Parra¶
Carolina is a Mexican creative and Textile Designer aiming to craft projects that create communitarian, pluriversal, natural and safe places for all. She currently works with mayan artis@s in the non profit Organization Fundación Haciendas del Mundo Maya, which she represented in this challenge.
Catherine Euale¶
Catherine, a Venezuelan-Canadian artist and citizen scientist. I combine bio-art, material research, microbiology, mycology, and digital fabrication to explore our connections with other species through design. My work focuses on creating sensory aliveness in our interactions with the living planet.

Claudia is an Italian Product and Communication Designer based in Jordan. She is part of the Fabricademy Core Team Member.

Hafey Viktoría Hallgrímsdóttir¶
Hafey is a designer from Iceland. She has always been interested in textiles and has made a lot of learning material through her time working at Fab Lab and that is why she wanted to be a part of this challenge.
Jinger Zeng¶
Jinger is a creative technologist from China and United States. She is passionate about innovative and alternative approaches to cultural preservation efforts, and travels to different communities around the world to work with fablabs and makers on local social impact projects.
Melissa Jurado Ledón¶
Mel is a "peregrine" researcher and designer from the Mayab. She has worked with Maya communities throughout the Yucatán Peninsula, seeks to disseminate cultural heritage using decolonial methodologies applied to artisanal design.
Murad Saadeh¶
Murad is a maker from Jordan with a strong background in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Murad has a deep passion for digital crafts, continuously exploring innovative solutions and prototyping new ideas.
Nelly Puertas¶
Nelly is from Peru. She works with natural fibers such as alpaca and grape leather, incorporating 2D laser designs, focusing on sustainable fashion.
Roberta Schreyer¶
Roberta Schreyer is an interdisciplinary environmental researcher, storyteller and artist. She investigates how the arts can set hope in the climate narrative and restore the broken human-nature relationship to encourage social and environmental justice.
Shannon Hoover¶
Shannon is an innovator and leader in the Canadian Maker movement, co-founder of Makefashion, Calgary Maker Faire and Fuse33 Makerspace. Passionate about wearable technology, he is devoted to improving his community and world through subversive change and art directed engineering.
Shannon Sykes¶
Shannon Sykes is a modelmaker and project manager from Fab Lab Onl'fait Geneva. She is also responsible for the bio lab where she teaches and experiments with biomaterials, kombucha, bacterial dye and mycelium etc.
Yuki Takemura¶
Yuki belongs to Fablab Hamamatsu/Take-Space, and works on textiles, especially on machine embroidery. She is creating products with Ecuadorian ethnic friends and researching digital aspects from handicrafts.
