Cellulosic Materials Workshop¶
Path | Target | Duration | Skills |
---|---|---|---|
PathX | 15-25 | 2 days | Kombucha |
Introduction and context¶
Within the Shemakes project this workshop formulates the common perspective on women innovators and the gender gap. Within the task of discovery, this programme is aimed for future fashion materials and created diverse groups of students studying different fields of textile, fashion, chemistry, design, industrial design and architecture. Seeing this as a good interdisciplinary approach to encourage future innovators who rarely do work by themselves. Knowing our public and student needs, this will be a two 2-day workshop programmes in the fields of Biomaterials and Cellulosic materials.

We recommend at least 2 people to run the activity, in groups with more than 10 participants, a third person might be needed. We had 2 mentors who each covered 1 day of activities and assisted the other and one participant student assistant to help prepare the workshops from beginning to the end.

- Do explain the mistake in a constructive way
- Don’t highlight the mistake in a way it would embarrass the person or put the on the spot
- Do create a safe and coworking environment where participants can be engaged in all the seps
- Try to encourage everyone to clean up the place and keep it neat during the process
TIPS AND TRICKS ?¶
Our trick is to try to combine a design/architect/creative professional with a scientist so participants can get both sides of the process and better understanding.
