Participants should bring their own laptop. In case you don’t have one, please inform us in advance. Materials for experimentation and a notebook are also recommended.
Activities
- 3D Printed Fashion
3D printing technology for textiles allows to customize, decorate, shape and reshape textiles and fabrics in many ways. During the activity, participants will learn how to design and 3D print rigid and flexible patterns and structures on fabrics / for fabrics / as fabrics, exploring different materials and techniques.
In this workshop, participants will explore how 3D printing can be used to enhance, transform and reshape textiles. They will learn the basics of preparing fabrics for printing, designing patterns and structures, experimenting with rigid and flexible materials.
- Tufting Workshop
Participants, split in groups, will engage in a tufting workshop together with Creative Spark Lab staff and Fabricademy.
During the session, they will learn the fundamentals of modern rug-making, operate the tufting gun safely, and control pile height and direction. Each participant will have the opportunity to practice creating lines, shapes, and filled areas, and will experiment with color combinations and textures.
- Focus Groups
Researching and experimenting together. Participants will ideate & develop a project in a team along with experts and participants around the topics tackled in the program and during the week. At the end of the week they will showcase their collaborative porojects.
